FEE ANALYSIS (TER)
First, I'll start by examining the fees associated with your portfolio to determine your 'Total Expense Ratio' (TER). Often you will find that you've been informed of some fees but not necessarily all of them, particularly in less regulated jurisdictions.
As part of my process, I will consider all fees payable by the investor an ensure you aren't exposed to more than you need to be.
INVESTMENT ALLOCATION ADVICE
Secondly, I will consider exactly how your portfolio has been allocated between asset classes and funds. Again, this will include costs associated with the underlying investments and the potential returns associated with this funds.
RISK PROFILE ANALYSIS
Once we have determined the structure of your investment, we will consider whether or not you have been placed in an appropriate or inappropriate risk category. This is achieved by analysing your personal appetite for risk and adjusting your risk exposure accordingly.
COMPARISONS AND RECOMMENDATION
Finally, I will prepare a detailed spreadsheet highlighting the pros and cons of your existing portfolio as well as any suggested tweaks (big or small).
